Position available for Network Security Specialist

Network Security Specialist:

A global Financial Organisation in Melbourne is looking for a Network Security Specialist. As the Network Security Specialist you will lead the definition, adoption and compliance review of network information security strategies, processes and standards for the client.
The Role:
The Network Security Specialist also provides technology assistance and direction to other IT teams to:

o Define network security architecture, policies, principles and standards

o Ensure compliance with defined network security architecture, policies, principles and standards

o Play a significant role in the implementation of new network technology

o Align local and global network security architectures and designs where possible

The successful candidate will have:

Information Security

7+ years of experience in a senior/lead network security role in a large corporate environment


Awareness of industry standards and technology trends

Technical security background spanning the following areas:

o Network routing/switching

o Network security infrastructure

o Operating systems and trust architecture

o Network protocols

Knowledge of ISO 17799

Experience in developing security policies and Standards
